Systems Administrator (m/f/d)

Berlin
Full-time
Permanent employee

Intro

Welcome to Sanoptis – a leading network of modern eye clinics and ophthalmology practices with over 480 locations throughout Europe. Our vision is to improve well-being and quality of life through first-class ophthalmological treatment. Our innovative, decentralized model enables our partner locations to operate independently and to focus on the individual needs of their patients. At the same time, they are part of a larger network with strong partners, which offers them synergies, state-of-the-art technology, and many other benefits.

Sanoptis is building a modern, secure and scalable IT environment across its European network – join our team as Systems Administrator (m/f/d), keeping our systems running and our people productive.

As our network grows, so does our reliance on a well-run, secure and resilient IT environment. From identity and devices to networks and the business applications our teams use every day, the smooth operation of our systems is essential to how Sanoptis works. We are looking for a hands-on Systems Administrator to own the day-to-day administration of this environment and to help us raise the bar on reliability and security.

In this role, you will

  • Administer our core IT environment: own the day to day administration of our Microsoft 365 and Entra ID tenant, including user and rights management, keeping our systems secure, available and well configured.
  • Set up and manage our devices: provision, configure and roll out laptops and mobile devices for our staff, and manage their enrolment, security and lifecycle through our endpoint and mobile device management (MDM) tooling, so new joiners are equipped and onboarded smoothly.
  • Keep our network and infrastructure running: maintain and improve networking, servers, backups and cloud infrastructure across our headquarters and locations, proactively monitoring for issues and minimising downtime.
  • Support our people and business applications: act as the point of contact for 1st and 2nd level support and troubleshooting, and administer the business applications and SaaS tools our teams rely on, onboarding and offboarding users smoothly.
  • Coordinate our external IT providers: manage external partners and vendors (e.g. MTF), holding them to agreed service levels and ensuring work is delivered to a high standard.
  • Strengthen our IT security and resilience: support cybersecurity topics such as access governance and patching, and ensure adherence to our security and data protection standards, helping to reduce risk across the group.

You will work closely with

  • CFO (line manager), with a dotted line to our IT Strategic Advisor
  • External IT service providers and vendors (e.g. MTF)
  • The Group Finance and Operations teams and colleagues across our partner locations

Your profile includes

  • +5 years’ experience in IT services, covering hardware and software administration, user-rights management and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID and endpoint / device management, including the setup of laptops and mobile devices.
  • Solid knowledge of networking, infrastructure and backups, and the co-ordination of an IT environment
  • Exposure to cybersecurity topics and a security-first mindset.
  • A proactive, self-driven approach and the willingness to take ownership in an entrepreneurial setting.
  • Ability to co-ordinate external providers and to communicate clearly with non-technical colleagues.
  • Fluent German (C2) and good English (C1).

Sanoptis offers

  • Meritocratic remuneration: An attractive salary package, supplemented by an annual performance-related bonus tied to individual and company specific targets.
  • Autonomy and creative freedom: The opportunity to work independently and contribute your own innovative ideas – thanks to flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes that strengthen our organization.
  • Professional development: Opportunities for continuous learning and personal growth through training, online academies, workshops, and industry conferences.
  • Inclusive culture: Work in a talented and diverse team with a warm office culture and regular team events.
